TWICELAND : The Opening (2017)

To do justice to this website name! TWICELAND : The Opening was the first tour following the release of Twicecoaster: Lane 1, the tour kicked off on February 17, 2017 and, after seven shows, it concluded on June 18, 2017.
This tour was announced on January 9 of that year with a post on the official Twitter account with the Seoul dates. Following the overwhelming support, more dates were announced in other countries, marking their first shows outside of Korea.
Despite being a new group and their debut tour, it was a resounding success, doing sold-out in all their shows and selling the Seoul dates in 40 minutes, solidifying their status as one of the biggest rookie acts the industry had seen up to that point.

FUN FACTS
- TWICE was the first girl group in history to headline both SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium, selling 90% of the tickets within two hours of the announcement and eventually selling out completely.
- VCHA (now GIRLSET) were the opening act for this tour in Mexico, Brazil, and Las Vegas, performing for half an hour before TWICE's concert began.
- Over 1.2 million Japanese fans were simultaneously online trying to get tickets. Due to this overwhelming response, additional dates in Japan were added under the title "READY TO BE SPECIAL".
- There were changes to the setlist. Jeongyeon performed a cover of Lizzo's "Juice" at the beginning of the tour, while Jihyo showed a snippet of "Nightmare" before revealing her solo debut.
- The girls made history in other languages and cultures, selling out Foro Sol in 30 minutes and O2 Arena in under 20, proving their popularity beyond Asia.
- As with previous tours, a documentary of the KSPO Dome concerts was released on DVD and Blu-ray, and the second show was streamed on Beyond Live.
